We left the Best Western Taipa Hotel (Taipa / Cotai Strip is the new / southern, glitzy part of Macau) @ 9am and took the taxi to the Macau Peninsula (this is the old / northern part of Macau) to visit the Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral. They had a traditional Dragon Dance to celebrate the Chinese New Year & to our surprise some of the dragon pole carriers were Filipinos! Next on our itinerary was the Mount Fortress, Macau Tower (10th tallest tower in the world), Senado Square (a mix of ancient and modern, Portuguese and Chinese, neighborhood markets and branded stores)
